Engineering is in everything around us
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had a curiosity about the world around me – what things are, how they work, and why they work. This lead me to engineering, and I now have the privilege of sharing some of the things I’ve seen, done and learnt with the next generation.
I continue to do classroom and community group sessions up to 1 hour, centered around my experience in schooling and the early years of engineering, as well as the opportunities for technicians. Subject matter mainly focuses on the aerospace and motorsport sectors (as to be expected!)

Encouragement
They weren’t Chris Hadfield, but I still remember many of the speakers I was lucky enough to have come to my schools. Sometime’s a little push from a different “teacher” can spurn an interest that snowballs into a passion!

The Wonder Project
The Wonder Project is Engineering New Zealand’s not-for-profit, free programme for schools, designed to inspire young Kiwis with science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
I was lucky enough to be involved in the early days of the project, and it continues to infuse curiosity into the next generation.

Engagement
Like with everything else I do, no challenge is too big or too small. Whether it’s a community group of 10, or an interschool meeting of 1000, I can tailor presentations and activities to suit.
